My Story

✨ Beyond the Cover

Welcome to My Story

I’m so glad you’re here! My journey to creating this space has been fueled by a mix of academic curiosity, a love for the quiet moments at home, and a deep-seated belief in looking beneath the surface.

🌹 HOw it all began

This business was born during a season of big transitions. I started this journey postpartum with my first daughter. During that time, I found myself deeply immersed in reading, finding comfort and inspiration in new stories. When my husband and I made the decision that I would stay home, I knew I wanted to create something of my own—a project that allowed me to nurture my passions while being present for my family.

Beyond the Cover

With a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Justice Studies, I spent years studying the systems and “social norms” that shape our world. That background profoundly influenced my approach to literature. I created the “Blind Date with a Book” experience because I wanted to challenge the habit of judging a book by its cover. By removing visual bias and preconceived expectations, I hope to help readers discover stories they might have otherwise overlooked, allowing the narrative to speak for itself.

📚 My Foundation

At the heart of everything I do is my faith and my family. God always comes first, providing the compass for my life and business. My family is my ultimate motivation; they are the “why” behind every project I undertake and the reason I strive to build something meaningful every day.

Life on the Homestead

Originally born and raised in Virginia, I eventually made the move to Maryland, and I have absolutely fallen in love with life here! When I’m not focused on the business, you can usually find me tending to our garden. We maintain a small homestead that keeps us grounded and connected to the seasons. Most importantly, I cherish every moment spent with my husband and my daughters—whether we’re working outside or just enjoying each other’s company.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to help you find your next favorite story!

A story is waiting for you—you just haven’t met it yet.
